Also known as Series500 screws the extended drilling tip guides the screw through just as the fine thread grabs hold and taps itself securely within the steel.
The SD500 self-drilling screw with an extended drill point for metal. Ideal for hardened or hot rolled steel and thick steel is not an issue for SD500 screws.
SD500 screws are designed to fix metal to metal, through thicknesses of up to 12mm in total without the need for pre-drilling or pilot holes into steel. Also can be used with timber to steel with the SD500 countersunk screw range.
